Michael Stroka was an American actor born on May 9th, 1938 in Passiac, New Jersey. Primarily a television actor, He is best remembered for his character roles on the 1966 ABC television series Dark Shadows where he played the characters Aristede, Bruno, Bruno Hess and Lazlo Ferrari. Stroka appeared in a total of sixty-four episodes; 34 as Aristede, 13 as Bruno, 14 as Bruno Hess and 3 as Laszlo Ferrari. He also had a cameo role as a pallbearer in the 1970 film House of Dark Shadows. Outside of Dark Shadows, Stroka played a bit role as the mayer in the 1982 film Island of Blood. Michael Stroka passed away on April 14th, 1997 at the age of 58.

  • Stroka was originally slated to appear in the 1971 sequel to House of Dark Shadows called Night of Dark Shadows playing a hippie who introduces the viewer to the mysterious Collinwood mansion. However, script revivals excised the character and the scene was never shot. [1]
  • Michael Stroka did the opening voiceover for episodes 813, 987, 992, and 994 of Dark Shadows.
