Merlyn Temple is a supporting character and a fictional ghost featured in the short-lived CBS television series American Gothic. She was played by actress Sarah Paulson and appeared in eighteen episodes of the series. Merlyn was first presented as a ghost who appeared before her younger brother Caleb, but later episodes revealed that she was in fact an angel.
