Plot[]
The funeral for Deirdre Mayfair is held and all of the members of the mysterious Mayfair family are in attendance. Deirdre's long-lost daughter, Rowan Fielding finds herself plunged into a world of intrigue. Her uncle Cortland Mayfair and Aunt Carlotta Mayfair present diverging views on the entity known as Lasher; Rowan must choose whom to trust and face the dire consequences; Meanwhile, Ciprien Grieve uses his powers of psychometry in an effort to identify Deirdre's murderer.
