Martha Bozeman is a werewolf character and a recurring character featured on the HBO television series True Blood. Played by actress Dale Dickey, she was introduced in the premiere episode of season five, "Turn! Turn! Turn!".
Biography[edit | edit source]
Martha Bozeman is a werewolf and a member of the pack formerly led by her son, Marcus Bozeman. After Marcus was killed, Martha and the other pack mates wanted revenge on whomever was responsible for the death of their Alpha. Initially they believed it was shape-shifter Sam Merlotte. They kidnapped Sam and tortured him at length. Martha promised that if he revealed the truth, no harm would fall upon Sam's loved ones, Luna Garza and her daughter, Emma. Even though Sam wasn't the one who killed Marcus, he refused to give up the true killer, werewolf Alcide Herveaux. Alcide eventually confessed to killing Marcus, and declared that he was now the new Alpha of the pack. Martha, as well as Alcide's own father, J.D. Herveaux, refused to acknowledge him as their leader. Martha forced Sam and Alcide to disinter Marcus' remains, whereupon the members of the pack began to consume the body. (TB: Turn! Turn! Turn!)
