Mark Patrick Carducci was a film screenplay and teleplay writer and associate producer born in New York on November 18th, 1954. His first work in the horror genre was writing the script for the 1986 film Neon Maniacs. He was a story developer on the 1988 movie Pumpkinhead and also served as a creative consultant on the film's first sequel Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings along with co-writer Gary Gerani. In 1990, he wrote the teleplay for the TV movie Buried Alive starring Tim Matheson and Jennifer Jason Leigh. David A. Davies served as co-writer on the script. For television, he wrote the script for the "The Spirit Photographer" episode of George Romero's horror anthology series Tales from the Darkside. Carducci also wrote and directed Flying Saucers Over Hollywood: The 'Plan 9' Companion, a documentary retrospective spotlighting the career of noted b-grade sci-fi/horror film director Edward D. Wood.
According to IMDB, Mark Patrick Carducci committed suicide at the age of 42 in Thousand Oaks, California following the death of his mother and his first born child, both of whom passed away within a short time between one another.
