Man-Thing is an American full-length film of the horror genre. It is based on the Man-Thing line of comic book titles published by Marvel Comics. The movie was directed by Brett Leonard with a script written by Hans Rodionoff. It was produced by Artisan Entertainment and Marvel Enterprises and released through Lions Gate Entertainment. Though it opened to limited theatrical release in the United Arab Emirates and Russia, its US premiere was as a television movie that aired on the Sci-Fi Channel on April 30th, 2005. It was then released on DVD in Region 1 format on June 14th, 2005.

The character of Ted Sallis, aka the Man-Thing was created by writers Roy Thomas & Gerry Conway and artist Gray Morrow. He first appeared in the third story in Savage Tales #1 in May, 1971. Most of the early Man-Thing stories following his inaugural appearance were written by Steve Gerber.
The tagline to this film is "Your fear is his deadliest weapon".
Principal filming on Man-Thing began on August 25th, 2003. Shooting concluded on October 23rd, 2003. The film was shot in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
