Lynn Denlon is a fictional surgeon & murder victim and a central figure featured in the Saw film series by Twisted Pictures. She was played actress Bahar Soomekh and appeared in the third installment in the franchise, Saw III.
Biography[]
Lynn Denlon was a surgeon and the wife of Jeff Denlon. She was the mother of two children, Dylan and Corbett. When Dylan was eight-years-old, he was killed by a drunk driver named Timothy Young. Both of the Denlons were naturally devastated by this loss, in particular was the fact that Timothy only served six months in prison. This put a strain on the marriage and Lynn began taking antidepressents. She ultimately began having an affair.
Lynn was kidnapped by Amanda Young, who was a psychotic acolyte of Jigsaw killer John Kramer. Lynn awakened in Jigsaw's lair, which had been outfitted as a makeshift hospice room, due to the fact that Kramer was now in the late stages of advanced brain cancer. Lynn had a collar about her neck that would explode should John Kramer's heart rate cease. Amanda forced Lynn to perform surgery on Kramer to relieve pressure from his skull.
What Lynn didn't know was that estranged husband Jeff, as well as Timothy Young, were both located elsewhere in Jigsaw's lair at the Gideon Meatpacking Plant. Jigsaw had placed Jeff on a path that directed him towards those he held responsible for his son's death, including a witness to the incident, the judge who presided over the case, and finally Timothy Young himself. The test was to see if Jeff could find it within himself to forgive these people.
Amanda meanwhile, suffered a bit of a mental break, and turned against John Kramer and his teachings, citing that no one ever really changes. Secretly being blackmailed by police detective, Mark Hoffman, Amanda followed Hoffman's previously outlined instruction to shoot Lynn. [3] Just as Lynn was falling from the injury, Jeff had made his way into the medical room - having completed his own trials. Armed with a gun containing a single bullet, he administered a mortal wound to Amanda's neck. He then took up a circular saw and used it to slice open John Kramer's throat, killing him. Kramer's death triggered Lynn's collar, which exploded, ending her life. [4]

- ↑ The setting for the series is left deliberately ambiguous, but a scene in Saw V shows a character typing out Agent Strahm's phone number, which has a 212 area code. This is the area code for Manhattan. However, another scene shows a New Jersey license plate on Strahm's car, so the actual location of the series remains inconclusive.
