Lori Grimes was a supporting character featured in the critically-acclaimed comic book series The Walking Dead by Image Comics. She first appeared in the second issue of the series. The character was also featured in the 2010 television series adaptation, The Walking Dead. Played by actress Sarah Wayne Callies, she first appeared in the series pilot episode "Days Gone Bye".

With the demise of Lori, Rick suffered an intense emotional breakdown. As such, he was subject to both audio and visual hallucinations. He first heard Lori's voice speaking to him over a telephone, along with the voices of others the group had lost. (WD: Hounded) He later saw an image of Lori standing on a catwalk at the prison looking down at him. (WD: The Suicide King)

  • In the comics, Lori Grimes was killed off in The Walking Dead #48. She does not die in childbirth as presented in the TV series, but rather, she is shot in the back by Lilly Caul.
  • Lori Grimes is one of at least two characters named Lori (with that particular spelling) in the horror genre who has a tattoo. Another is Lori Campbell from Freddy vs. Jason.
