Let Me In is a 2010 vampire horror film written and directed by Matt Reeves. It is a remake of the 2008 Swedish film Let the Right One In, directed by Tomas Alfredson. Let Me In was produced by EFTI and Hammer Films and was released theatrically in the United States on October 1st, 2010. The film takes place in New Mexico during the early 1980s and involves a seemingly twelve-year-old girl named Abby who is in fact, a vampire. Along with her human companion and father figure, Abby moves to a small, quiet town where she befriends a young, sheltered boy named Owen. The two grow close, but as a string of brutal murders begin to crop up all over town, Owen discovers the truth behind Abby's dark secret and must now decide how far he is willing to endure for the sake of friendship.
