Kristin Bauer, born Kristin A. Neubauer, is an American television actress born in Racine, Wisconsin on November 26th, 1966. She is best known for playing the role of smarmy vampire Pam De Beaufort on the HBO television series True Blood.

Kristin Bauer got her acting start in 1994 playing a character named Miss English on the "McKenzie, Brackman, Barnum & Bailey" episode of L.A. Law. She followed this up with doing single episode stints on shows such as Columbo, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Silk Stalkings, Cybil and Pointman. Her first regular acting work began in 1995 with a recurring role on The Crew where she played a character named Maggie Reynolds. Her next regular gig was as Geneva Renault on Total Security.

Following another decade of various television roles, Kristin eventually landed the part of Pam De Beaufort on True Blood. Her part was based on a character created by novelist Charlaine Harris, author of the "Southern Vampire Mysteries" series of novels and was introduced in the first book, Dead Until Dark. On True Blood, she was introduced in the season one episode "Escape from Dragon House" and appeared in seven episodes from season one. She then appeared in four episodes of season two. By season three, Kristin became a series regular and received opening title credits under the name Kristin Bauer van Straten, beginning with the episode "Bad Blood".
