King of the Lost World is an American low-budget adventure film with elements of sci-fi/horror. It was directed by Leigh Scott and released direct-to-video by The Asylum on December 13th, 2005. The film blends elements of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World with that of King Kong and was produced to coincide with the release of Peter Jackson's remake of King Kong, capitalizing on that film's popularity and high marketing campaign. King of the Lost World stars Bruce Boxleitner, Jeff Denton, Rhett Giles, Sarah Lieving, Christina Rosenberg and Steve Railsback.
