Killer Pad is an American horror/comedy film directed by Robert Englund and written by Dan Stoller. It was produced by Rice Films and distributed by the Grindstone Entertainment Group. Special makeup effects were supplied by Robert Hall's Almost Human company. The film was released direc-to-video on February 5th, 2008 by Lions Gate Entertainment. The premise of the film revolves around three friends, Doug, Craig and Brody, who drive from Illinois to Los Angeles to take up residence in a house supposedly haunted by the devil. As the friends decide to host a party, they learn that their attractive neighbor, Lucy, may be more than what she appears and their friends begin disappearing one by one into a mysterious portal in the basement of the house.

  • Filming on Killer Pad was conducted from April to May of 2006.
  • Foreign distribution on the DVD was handled by the Epic Pictures Group and Film Depot.
  • This movie marks the second film directed by Englund, who is best known for his performances in front of the screen, but behind the makeup. Robert Englund earned himself a place in horror film history for his portrayal of the wisecracking dream demon Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise. Englund also directed the 1988 horror/comedy 976-EVIL as well as two episodes of the A Nightmare on Elm Street spin-off series Freddy's Nightmares.
  • The closeup shots of Backwater's (Jeff Davis) hands during the guitar solo in "Rock & Roll All Nite" are actually the hands of the composer, Timothy Andrew Edwards, playing the solo. [1]
