The Kandarian Dagger is a fictional occult artifact featured in the Evil Dead film series. It first appeared in the 1981 film The Evil Dead.
Description[]
The Kandarian dagger sometime before the Medieval era. The handle of the dagger is carved from human bone. Presumably, the dagger was used in occult rituals, possibly even human sacrifice. The blade of the dagger can cause harm to evil entities, including humans possessed by spirits, which have come to be known as Deadites.
History[]
In the 1980s, Professor Raymond Knowby and his daughter Annie Knowby, discovered the dagger while excavating ruins near Castle Kandar in Europe. They also discovered a powerful mystic text known as the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis - the Book of the Dead. Both items were brought back to the United States where they were studied at the Knowby's cabin in Tennessee.

- In addition to being harmful to Deadites, the Kandarian dagger is also effective against vampires. A doppelganger of Ash Williams once used the dagger to injure the vampire lord known as Dracula by stabbing him in the throat. [3]
