- The character of Julia was created by director Paolo Barzman and writer Nancy Won based on concepts originally developed by Toby Whithouse.
- Not to be confused with the Julia who appeared in the UK version of Being Human.
- Julia had sexual relations with both Aidan Waite and Josh Levinson, and in an indirect way with Josh' friend Stu, making her the only character in the series thus far to have sex with a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost. Girl gets around.
- Actress Natalie Brown is also known for playing the main character Sophie Parker on the Canadian comedy series Sophie.
