John Wagner is a comic book writer born in Pennsylvania in 1949. As a young boy, he moved to Scotland and eventually began writing scripts for comic book magazines. He is a longtime collaborator of Scottish writer Alan Grant and has worked with Grant on many notable comic and magazine titles 2000 AD and Judge Dredd. Wagner and Grant co-wrote the first four issues of the Nightbreed comic book series, which adapted the 1990 Nightbreed film by Clive Barker. In 1995, Wagner wrote the four-issue Aliens: Berserker limited series for Dark Horse Comics.
