John Jacob Gray is a television writer, story editor, production assistant and actor. His career began in the early 2000s where he primarily worked as an assistant, and later executive assistant to Tim Minear. Gray worked under Minear during season three of the WB Network television series Angel. Beginning in 2013, John J. Gray became a staff writer on the FX Network anthology series American Horror Story. He began with the season three premiere, "Bitchcraft". John wrote and/or co-wrote scripts to two episodes of the show from season four, which was billed under the subheading, "Freak Show". As an actor, John J. Gray made an uncredited appearance as the Chicken guy body in the "Lullaby" episode of Angel.
