John Cheever was an American novelist and short fiction writer. He was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on May 27th, 1912. He died in Ossining, New York on June 18th, 1982 at the age of 70. Cheever wrote the short story "The Enormous Radio", which adapted into an episode of Tales from the Darkside, five years after his death.
