John C. Higgins is an American film screenplay writer born in Winnipeg, Canada on April 28th, 1908. Best known for crime thrillers and film noir, his first work in the horror genre was the 1956 film The Black Sleep. In 1972, he co-wrote the screenplay for Daughters of Satan. This turned out to be Higgins' final film work. He passed away in Los Angeles, California on July 2nd, 1995 at the age of 87.
