Joel David Moore is primarily a television actor who has been featured in bit parts in various genre programs and films. His first horror role was as the character Karl Vamp on the "Salvage" episode of Angel. He has also made sporadic appearances as anthropological intern Colin Fisher in the crime procedural series Bones. Joel's first starring role in a horror feature was as the character of Ben in the 2006 slasher film Hacthet, directed by Adam Green. Joel worked on Adam Green's next film, the 2007 psycho-drama Spiral, this time taking a more creative part in the film's production as both writer and producer. In 2011, Joel played a character named Gordon in the David R. Ellis predatory animal feature Shark Night 3D'.
