Biography[]

Joe Kirkley was a member of a British commando unit holding the rank of Private. In 2002, Kirkley's unit was conducting a training exercise in the mountains of Scotland when they came upon a wounded member of British Special Forces, Captain Ryan. Joe's team rendered medical assistance and tried to get to a safe point, but they were unable to radio anyone for an emergency evacuation. While the soldiers struggled to save Ryan's life, a werewolf attacked the group, nearly disemboweling their commander, Sgt. Harry G. Wells. The commandos were fortunate to find a young woman named Megan, who was driving down a mountain road and offered them shelter. Sarge was brought back to Megan's house where Private Cooper tended to his injuries.

That night, more werewolves appeared and clawed their way into the house. The soldiers fought back, but Kirkley's comrade, Terry Milburn was killed during the struggle. Megan told the group about a shed behind the house with a land rover in it, which could help them to escape, but they needed someone to act as decoy so that another soldier could go in and hotwire it. A commando named Spoon volunteered to act as decoy enabling Joe to run out the back towards the shed. He hotwired the truck and turned the headlights on only to find a werewolf chewing on the face of an earlier victim. Joe blasted through the doors of the shed and the werewolf followed suit. As he backed up towards the house, the werewolf somehow managed to get inside the cab and killed him.
