Biography[]
Jennifer Desiderio was possibly once aligned with a cult led by black magic wielder Nix in the early 1980s. Nix's protégé, Philip Swann defected from the cult, and Caspar became one of his allies. In 1982, Jennifer attended Swann on a mission to rescue a pre-teen girl named Dorothea, who had been abducted by the cult. Jennifer and the others fought against the cultists and defeated Nix, though Desiderio suffered a severe hand injury during the raid. She aided Philip Swann in applying an iron binding mask to Nix's face and burying him in the middle of the Mojave Desert.
The experience proved to be psychologically traumatic to Jennifer, and she lived in mortal terror that Nix would one day return. She admitted herself to a mental health facility and remained there for the next thirteen years.
In 1995, private investigator Harry D'Amour came to Los Angeles and found himself involved in the machinations of Nix's followers, who were actively seeking Philip Swann and his allies. When D'Amour visited Jennifer at the mental hospital, she flew into a panic. She ran out into the middle of the street, allowing an oncoming vehicle to strike, thus killing her. [1]
