Jamie Lee Curtis is an American actress and a modern-day "scream queen" of horror cinema. She was born in Los Angeles, California to Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, herself an infamous scream queen who immortalized the role of Marion Crane in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. Jamie Lee Curtis is best known for playing the role of "final girl" Laurie Strode, sister of Michael Myers in the Halloween film franchise. She is also known for her work in the 1983 comedy film, Trading Places, which earned her recognition amongst fans for having a brief topless scene, as indicated by Randy Meeks in the 1996 movie Scream. She played Helen Tasker in James Cameron's 1994 action film True Lies, where her sexuality comes into play again as she does a sexy striptease dance. Curtis returned to her Halloween roots in 1998, reprising the role of Laurie Strode for Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later. She played Strode again in Halloween: Resurrection in 2002. In between those two films, she played Kit Foster in the sci-fi/horror film Virus. On September 15th, 2017, Curtis confirmed that she would be reprising the role of Strode in the Halloween sequel set for release on October 19th, 2018. The film is a sequel to 1981's Halloween II.
