Jackie Earle Haley is an American actor born in Northridge, California on July 14th, 1961. Haley began acting when he was only six-years-old, performing in a variety of television commercials. At age eleven, he got his first regular acting job playing the recurring role of Jamie Boyle on the animated comedy Wait Till Your Father Gets Home. As a child actor, Haley is best known for playing the part of Kelly Leek in The Bad News Bears. In 1991, he played the role of Braxton Red in the Full Moon Entertainment film Dollman. His first role in a horror film was playing the part of Frank Jessup in 1993's Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence. In 2009, Haley became a major film star playing the role of Walter Kovacs, aka, "Rorschach" in the comic noir film Watchmen. In 2010, he played George Noyce in Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island and followed this up that same year by donning the gloves and hat of Freddy Krueger for New Line Cinema's remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Haley later appeared in another ill-conceived remake of a genre work, Tim Burton's 2012 production of Dark Shadows. Haley played the role of grumpy handyman Willie Loomis - a role that had previously been played by actor John Karlen in the original Dark Shadows series and Jim Fyfe in the 1991 revival series.
