Jospeh Michael Straczynski is an American producer, screenwriter and author of comic books. He was born in Paterson, New Jersey on July 17th, 1954. Usually credited under the name J. Michael Straczynski, he is best known for creating, producing and writing the popular 1994-1998 television series Babylon 5.
In 2012, Straczynski co-wrote the story treatment for the vampire/werewolf action film Underworld: Awakening.
