Ilona Massey (1910-1974), born Ilona Hagymasi, was a Hungarian film actress born in Budapest, Austria-Hungary on June 16th, 1910. In the American film industry, Ilona was primarily active from the 1930s through the 1950s. She appeared in twelve feature film before turning her sights on television where she appeared on numerous variety shows. In 1942, Ilona appeared in Invisible Agent where she took on the leading female role of Maria Sorenson. In 1943, Ilona appeared in the Roy William Neill "monster mash" feature Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, where she played the part of Baroness Elsa Frankenstein. This was her final work in the horror genre. Ilona Massey passed away in Bethesda, Maryland on August 20th, 1974 at the age of 64.
