Howl is a British independent horror film of the werewolf fiction subgenre. It was directed by Paul Hyett with a screenplay written by Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler. It was produced by Starchild Pictures and was first screened at Fantasy Filmfest in Germany on August 5th, 2015. It was first shown in the United Kingdom at Film4 FrightFest on August 31st, 2015. It premiered in the United States at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival on October 3rd, 2015. The movie stars Ed Speleers as Joe Griffin - a security guard on a train bound for Eastborough. Unsatisfied with his career, he also earns the scorn of some of the passengers on the Alpha Trax red-eye; but Joe's troubles are nothing compared to what he has to deal with when a pack of werewolves attack the train at Thornton Forest.
