Biography[]
Hiram Fisher was a medical doctor who worked at a hospital in the town of Collinsport, Maine in the early 1990s. In 1991, a woman named Daphne Collins was admitted to the hospital after having been attacked by what local police officers believed to have been a wild animal. Fisher kept Daphne sedated and her boyfriend, Joe Haskell came in to visit her. When Daphne's family, Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, and Carolyn Stoddard arrived, Hiram Fisher gave them a brief summary of her medical state.
Fisher later spoke to Collinsport sheriff, George Patterson. He revealed to him that Daphne had lost nearly two liters of blood from her injuries. He further told Patterson he could call off his hunt for a wild animal, as he had discovered traces of human saliva in the wounds. Fisher could never have guessed that the injuries Daphne suffered had been perpetuated by a vampire named Barnabas Collins. [1]
