Hideo Yamamoto is a Japanese manga writer born in Saitama, Japan in 1968. He wrote the Ichi the Killer manga which was adapted into a film in 2001. Hideo also co-wrote the screenplay for the movie and his work was used as the basis for the prequel movie 1-Ichi in 2003.
