Hellboy is an American feature film of the action/fantasy genre with elements of horror. It is based on the popular Hellboy series of comic books published by Dark Horse Comics. The movie adaptation was written and directed by Guillermo del Toro. It was produced by Lawrence Gordon Productions and Starlite Films in association with Dark Horse Entertainment. It was presented by Revolution Studios. The movie premiered in Los Angeles, California on March 30th, 2004.
