Heiress

An heiress is a person of the female gender who inherits a sum of money, real estate or other types of assets of value.

In the 1943 Universal Pictures horror film, Son of Dracula, the character of Katherine Caldwell inherited the New Orleans plantation known as Dark Oaks following the passing of her father, Colonel Caldwell. After Katherine died from an accidental gunshot wound (only to rise again as a vampire and to be subsequently destroyed again), the estate presumably went to her sister, Claire Caldwell.
