A head injury is what happens when you hurt your head... like really bad. Mind you, this is not a neck, stomach, leg of toe injury. Head injuries can range from mundane superficial damage like bumping your nugget on a low archway to the severe like having your melon completely caved in by a sledgehammer. Head injuries of the latter variety tend to often be fatal as well.

- Night of the Living Dead: After rassling with a zombie, poor Johnny gets knocked down and suffers a fatal head wound after bouncing his nugget off the side of a tombstone.
- Mummy's Shroud, The: Prem the mummy grabs Sir Basil Walden by his noggin and crushes his head with his crusty ole hands.
- Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, A: Freddy Krueger manifests himself in a wall-mounted television set, grabs Jennifer Caulfield and smashes her head-first into the screen. It was her big break in TV.

- Walking Dead 113 - Connor attacks Andrea in the Alexandria bell tower. He smashes her face repeatedly against the wooden floor.
