The Haunting of Julia, originally titled Full Circle, is a Canadian/UK horror film directed by Richard Loncraine and written by Harry Bromley Davenport based on a novel by Peter Straub. It premiered in Spain under it's original title on September 11th, 1977, but was not screened in the United States until May 29th, 1981 under the title The Haunting of Julia. The film stars Mia Farrow as Julia Lofting, a woman who suffers from an intense nervous breakdown following the tragic death of her daughter Kate. After spending several weeks in a hospital, Julia tries to divorce herself from her previous life and uses money from a trust fund to purchase a new home and get a fresh start. However, her guilt over her daughter's death follows her and manifests itself in a string of inexplicable phenomena, leading Julia to believe that she is being haunted by her daughter's ghost.
