The Haunting in Connecticut is an American feature film of the supernatural thriller and haunted house subgenres of horror. It is allegedly based on actual events. The film was directed by Peter Cornwell with a screenplay written by Adam Simon and Tim Metcalfe. It was produced by Lions Gate Entertainment and Gold Circle Films. It premiered in North America and the United Kingdom on March 27th, 2009. The film stars Virginia Madsen as Sara Campbell with Kyle Gallner as her son Matt Campbell, and Elias Koteas as Reverend Nicholas Popescu.
