- The tagline for this film is "The hands of Jack the Ripper live again... as his fiendish daughter kills again... and again... and again...".
- Was released theatrically as a double-bill with Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde. Both films relate to the subject of Jack the Ripper.
- Ann Way is uncredited in this film.
- The character of "Long Liz", played by Lynda Baron in this film, was the nickname of 19th century prostitute Elizabeth Stride - one of the five canonical Ripper victims.
- Director Peter Sasdy is also known for directing 1970's Taste the Blood of Dracula and 1971's Countess Dracula as well as three episodes of the Hammer House of Horror television series.
- For the climactic scenes in St Paul's Cathedral - permission was requested and turned down to film on location. A replica was built instead.
