Biography[]
Gladys Murray lived in England in the 1880s. She was the wife of explorer and hunter Malcolm Murray, with whom she had two children, Peter Murray, and Mina Murray. Peter died of Malaria while on a trip with his father to Africa. A few years later, Mina fell victim to a vampire and became his undead servant. She was ultimately put down by her own father. Gladys blamed Malcolm for the deaths of both children. Adding instances of infedelity to the mix, the marriage became strained, and ultimately they were estranged from one another.
A witch named Evelyn Poole set her sights on Sir Malcolm, but take control of him completely, she had to get Gladys out of the way. She crafted a voodoo doll of her, and used it to torture her physically, causing immense, insufferable pain. Ultimately, Gladys could bare no more and took her own life by slitting her through with a knife in the master bedroom of their estate.
When Malcolm heard the news, he was already ensorcelled by the witch, and seemingly had little care about his wife's demise. He did state however, that he would have to have the carpet in the bedroom cleaned.
