Giant-Size Man-Thing is an adjunct of the Man-Thing, Volume 1 ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. They were released on a monthly publishing schedule between August, 1974 and August, 1975. The series featured Ted Sallis, who had the misfortune of turning into the swamplands muck monster known as the Man-Thing after injecting himself with an experimental serum. Manny finds himself facing up against a bizarre assortment of foes including fellow slop-man, Joe Timms, aka The Glob, the Cult of Entropy, the wizard known as Klonus, Mortak the Usurper, and that traitorous bitch, Ellen Brandt - the one responsible for driving Sallis to make the rash decision that changed him into the Man-Thing to begin with!

- The character of Ted Sallis, aka the Man-Thing was created by writers Roy Thomas & Gerry Conway and artist Gray Morrow. He first appeared in the third story in Savage Tales #1 in May, 1971. Most of the early Man-Thing stories following his inaugural appearance were written by Steve Gerber.
