"Call Them Triad... Call Them Death!" is the title to the first story featured in issue #2 of the Giant-Size Dracula quarterly comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It was written by Chris Claremont with artwork by Don Heck and inks by Frank McLaughlin. It was colored by Linda Lessmann with lettering by John Costanza. The second story is called "The Girl in the Black Hood!", which was likely written by Stan Lee & Larry Lieber with artwork & inks by Don Heck and lettering by Artie Simek. The third story is "On With the Dance" written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Russ Heath. The fourth feature is "The Sweet Old Ladies" by Stan Lee and artists Dick Ayers and Ernie Bache. The fifth vignette is called "Vampire at the Window" by Stan Lee and artist Hy Rosen. The sixth and final tale is called "Drive of Death", which was composed by an unknown creative team. "Call Them Triad... Call Them Death!" is the only original story featured in this issue and was edited by Roy Thomas. Stan Lee was the original editor on all subsequent reprint tales. This issue shipped with a September, 1974 cover date and carries a cover price of .50 cents per copy.
Dracula was created by Irish author Bram Stoker. He is the titular antagonist of Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula, which was inspired by an actual Wallachian nobleman known as Vlad II, aka Vlad the Impaler. The character has since been imagined as a powerful vampire count in various forms of media and has been played by many notable actors such as Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, Frank Langella, Gary Oldman, and even Leslie Nielsen.
This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority.
