Ghost Ship is an American feature film of the horror genre with an emphasis on haunted crafts and ghost fiction. It was directed by Steve Beck with a screenplay written by Mark Hanlon and John Pogue based on a story treatment by Pogue. It was produced by Warner Bros., NPV Entertainment, Village Roadshow Pictures and Dark Castle Entertainment. It was released theatrically in the United States on October 25th, 2002.

Production on Ghost Ship began on January 24th, 2002. Principal shooting concluded on April 24th, 2002. The movie was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia and Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada. Studio shots from Village Roadshow Studios were filed in Queensland, Australia.

This movie is not to be confused with the 1943 film The Ghost Ship. It is not a remake and other than having a similar title has nothing else in common with the film.
