Freddie had a rivalry against his cousin Herman who was named Lord of Munster Hall in place of him. The three British members of the family conspired to get ride of their American cousins so they could retain ownership of Munster Hall. Freddie attempted to scare Herman by dressing up as a ghost, but upon seeing his cousin's monstrous veneer, became terrified himself and ran away.
Later, when Herman decided to enter a dragster race, Freddie and Grace conspired to kill him to prevent him from winning.
