"Subject: Subject: Desert Squid! Myth or Legend?" is the fifth episode of the supernaturally-themed television series FreakyLinks. It was directed by Scott Lautanen and written by Russell Friend and Garrett Lerner. It first aired on the Fox Network on Friday, November 3rd, 2000. In this episode, a mysterious man calling himself Falcon contacts the FreakyLinks crew concerning strange occurances taking place in the state of Texas. Derek Barnes and the rest of the crew investigate to see if rumors of a strange tentacled monster is just a hoax, or is there really a "desert squid" killing livestock in Texas.
