Frankenstein's Hungry Dead is a low-budget independent feature film of the "creature feature" subgenre of horror, which also blends some elements of comedy. It was directed by Richard Griffin with a screenplay written by Seth Chitwood and Richard Griffin. It was produced by Wild Eye Releasing and Scorpio Film Releasing. It was released direct-to-video in the United States on March 23rd, 2013. The film stars Michael Thurber as Charles Frank, the strange one-eyed curator of a wax museum who gives a tour to a group of nonplussed high school students. When the students return to the building later that evening, they discover that there are things taking place that are much more horrifying than any of the attractions on display.
Plot[]
A high school teacher named Ron Jefferson, who really hates his students by the way, decides to take his small class on a field trip to the Cushing Wax Museum, which specializes in horror movie themed wax attractions. Despite how awesomely cool this sounds, his students couldn't be arsed, and are more wrapped up in their own nonsense. Museum curator Charles Frank, whose German accent is more than a little suspicious, takes them on the tour. Later that evening however, Ashley and her boyfriend Colton decide to break in to satisfy Ashley's kink fetish. The other students show up as well for... reasons. One student however, Katherine, is there because she is looking for her clues that might yield some information as to the disappearance of her friend, Ryan Henderson. The students muck about in the museum, but this place has a whole different sense of "night life" after the sun goes down. They soon discover that Charles Frank is actually Charles Frankenstein, the great-great-grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein. In addition to sending out his patchwork creatures to do his gruesome bidding, the kids learn that not only is Charles Frank a sadistic scientist, he is also a former high-ranking member of the Nazi party! And yes, he saved Hitler's brain too!
