Frank Grillo is an American character actor born in New York City on June 8th, 1963. He is usually cast in the role of law enforcement characters such as detectives, sheriffs and police offiers. Grillo's first role in a horror feature was the "Ghost in the Road" episode of Poltergeist: The Legacy. He then played the role of Daniel Sohapi in the 2010 film Mother's Day. That same year, he played police chief Nick Monohan in the ABC television series The Gates. Following the series cancellation, Grillo played the role of police officer Paterson in the Wes Craven slasher film My Soul to Take.
