Forrest J. Ackerman is one of the most famous spokespersons for the horror/science fiction genre, both in film and in literary media. He was one of the primary writers and editors for Famous Monsters of Filmland and boasted one of the world's most extensive collection of vintage sci-fi memorabelia. Ackerman has made cameo appearances in dozens of sci-fi and horror films and is considered a luminary of the genre.
