Flesh for Frankenstein is a German horror film based on the plot and characters of Frankenstein as first envisioned by author Mary Shelley in her 1818 novel, Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. This adaptation of Shelley's tale is written and directed by Paul Morrissey with uncredited script writing provided by Tonino Guerra and Pat Hackett. Antonio Margheriti is credited in some Italian prints of the film as a co-director. The movie premiered in West Germany on November 30th, 1973 and in the United States on March 17th, 1974. This time around, actor Udo Kier takes on the role of everyone's favorite whack-a-doo scientist, Baron Frankenstein.
