  • The tagline for this film is "On August 28th, no matter what you do or how loud you scream, Death will find you."
  • Production on The Final Destination began on March 3rd, 2008. Principal photography concluded on May 31st, 2008. Reshoots began on April 13th, 2009 and concluded on April 22nd. The movie was shot in Harahan and New Orleans, Louisiana. The speedway scenes were filmed in Mobile, Alabama. Reshoots were conducted in Orlando, Florida.
  • The Final Destination was released on DVD and Blu-ray by New Line Home Video on January 25th, 2010. The special edition 3D Blu-ray was released by New Line on August 2nd, 2011.
  • The actual title of the film The Final Destination.
  • This is the first film in the series to be shot in 3D. The 2011 sequel, Final Destination 5 is likewise shot in 3D.
  • This is the only film in the series that Tony Todd had no involvement in. Even in Final Destination 3, he was minimally used and provided the voice of the Devil only. Todd fans will be relieved to learn however that the gravely-voiced horror icon does return for the next sequel, Final Destination 5.
