Severed limb refers to any part of the body that has been forcibly removed either through surgical procedure, animal attack or an act of violence.
In film[]
- Freddy vs. Jason: During the climactic battle between Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, Jason dismembers Krueger's body several times over, cutting off his arms on two separate instances as well as his head. Freddy slices off Jason Voorhees' fingers as well. Additionally, Jason also beheads one individual and cuts another completely in half at the waste.

- Nightmare on Elm Street, A (1984): In the dream world, Freddy Krueger cuts off his own fingers to intimidate Nancy Thompkins.
- Nightmare on Elm Street, A (2010): Nancy Holbrook uses a broken paper cutter blade to cut off Freddy Krueger's claw arm in the waking world.
