The Mummy's Shroud is a British feature film of the horror genre with an emphasis on mummy fiction. It was written and directed by John Gilling and co-written by Anthony Hinds.   • The tagline to this film is "Beware the beat of the cloth-wrapped feet!"
  • Interior scenes were filmed at Bray Studios in Berkshire, England. Location shoots and desert sequences were filmed at Wapseys Wood, Gerrard's Cross in Buckinghamshire.
  • The film was released on Blu-ray by Shout! Factory on January 14th, 2020, which included a commentary track and documentary feature.
  • A behind-the-scenes documentary titled The Beat Goes On: The Making of The Mummy's Shroud was produced by Flashpoint Media and premiered in the United Kingdom on October 22nd, 2012. It was directed by Marcus Hearn and included commentary by John J. Johnston, the vice-chair of The Egypt Exploration Society.
  • The Mummy's Shroud was featured on Dr. Gangrene's Recommended Movie of the Week, which premiered on April 16th, 2011.
  • This is the only work in the horror genre for actor Roger Delgado. Roger Delgado died in an automobile accident near Nevshir in Turkey on June 18th, 1973. He was 55-years-old. He died on the six-year anniversary of the UK release of The Mummy's Shroud.
  • Actors André Morell and Catherine Lacey also appeared together in The Shadow of the Cat in 1961, which was also directed by John Gilling. That film was the first Hammer movie shot at Bray Studios. Ironically, The Mummy's Shroud proved to be the final film shot at Bray Studios.
