- The character of Noah Stilinski was created by director Russell Mulcahy based on concepts originally developed by Joseph Loeb, III, Matthew Weisman and director Rod Daniel.
- Actor Linden Ashby also played a vampire named Ben McAllister on the short-lived 2010 ABC television series The Gates. He is one of three Teen Wolf cast members who have appeared on the series (the others being Colton Haynes and Melissa McCall, both of whom played supernatural characters on The Gates).
