"The Orphan" is the title to the first story featured issue #14 of the Shock SuspenStories ongoing comic book anthology series published by EC Comics. The story was written by Albert B. Feldstein with artwork and inks by Jack Kamen. The second story in this issue is called "The Whipping", and was written by Feldstein with artwork and inks by Wally Wood. The third tale is called "You, Murderer" by writer Otto Binder and artist Bernie Krigstein. The fourth story is titled "As Ye Sow..." by Carl Wessler with pencils and inks by Geo. Evans. All stories were colored by Marie Severin and lettered by Jim Wroten. They were edited by Al Feldstein.
