Scary Movie 3 is an American comedy film spoofing popular horror and science fiction movies such as Signs, Scream, The Matrix and The Ring. It was directed by David Zucker and written by Craig Mazin and Pat Proft. It was produced by Dimension Films and released theatrically in the United States on October 24th, 2003. It is the third installment of the series and follows the events of 2001's Scary Movie 2. It is suceeded by the 2006 film Scary Movie 4.
